1. Overview & Scope
At IT Olympiads, we strive to ensure absolute transparency in our financial operations. This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs the circumstances under which registration fees for Olympiad examinations may be refunded or deferred.
Because our infrastructure immediately provisions dedicated, secure testing environments upon registration, our refund windows are tightly controlled to prevent operational overhead.
2. Individual Student Cancellations
For students registering independently (not as part of a bulk school package):
- Full Refund Window: You may cancel your registration and request a 100% full refund within 48 hours of the initial payment, provided the examination date is more than 14 days away.
- Partial Refund Window: Cancellations requested up to 7 days before the scheduled examination date are eligible for a 50% partial refund.
- No Refund Period: No refunds are issued for cancellations requested less than 7 days prior to the examination date, as server capacity and proctoring quotas have already been irrevocably reserved.
3. Institutional Bulk Enrollments
For our educational partners purchasing bulk examination seats:
- Roster Adjustments: Schools may swap students on their roster at no additional charge up to 72 hours before the examination window.
- Seat Downsizing: Bulk seat purchases may be downsized with a pro-rated refund up to 14 days prior to the exam date. A 10% administrative processing fee will be deducted from the refunded amount.
- Credit Roll-over: In lieu of a direct refund, institutions may opt to convert unused seats into credit valid for the subsequent academic year.
4. Refunds for Technical Failures (SLA Guarantee)
We stand by the resilience of our enterprise testing infrastructure. If an examination cannot be completed due to a verifiable systemic failure originating from our servers (e.g., database outages, proctoring service downtime):

You will be immediately offered the choice of a complimentary re-test in a specialized overflow window, OR a full 100% refund of the examination fee, no questions asked.
Please note: This guarantee does not apply to disruptions caused by the student's local hardware failure, incompatible operating systems, or local ISP bandwidth issues.
5. Academic Disqualifications (No Refund)
If a student's examination session is terminated or their results are voided by our academic panel due to a violation of the Code of Conduct (e.g., confirmed cheating, use of unauthorized devices, impersonation), absolutely no refunds will be issued.
The fee is forfeit to cover the cost of the forensic review required to substantiate the disqualification.
6. Processing Timelines
Approved refunds are returned strictly to the original payment method utilized during registration (e.g., back to the source credit card or corporate bank account).
- Credit/Debit Cards: 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers (NEFT/RTGS): 7-10 business days
